In the
beginning, I had no idea what was meant when experts would say that “Traffic is
Key”. I made a lot of mistakes in not knowing how to boost Traffic. Traffic, of
course, simply refers to the volume of users visiting your websites and pages,
and includes your customer funnel for the Reach, Engagement, and Click-Through-Rates
(CTR), which lead to Conversions (Sales). I thought that increasing a website's
Search Engine Optimization ranking (SEO) would be “easy” just by creating and
promoting the quantity of pages I added. I couldn’t have been more WRONG!
Hence, you
must rank for all of the terms that people are searching for within your niche, in order
to Drive More Traffic to your website. A good idea is to take a close
look at the content of your competitors and cross-reference your observations
with your list of specific trending Keywords in order to determine which ones
are helping them rank higher in SEO. Then you can incorporate these Keywords into
your own material. Again, use the same Keywords but write them into your own sentences.
I can’t stress to you enough to be aware of the rules against plagiarizing
other people’s content. That's a quick way to have your sites shut down and
even potentially banned. So, trust yourself and write your own content
using your very specific trending Keywords.
Thus, striking
out on my own and armed with this new understanding and knowledge, I decided to
produce content that featured the Keywords I’d discovered for Optimization. A
simple search for “Trending Keywords” for the preferred niche helped me
tremendously with this, as did looking over my successful competitors' content.
Then adding those specific Keywords that are directed at achieving a certain
objective into my content, I then understood would begin to boost the Traffic
to my sites. I realized that the focus needs to be more on quality content
over quantity, appropriately referred to as "High Quality Content”.
A simple search for "Best Domain
Names" within the selected niche helped me to zero in on a domain name
that would actually show up in search results. The domain name changes alone boosted
my Traffic significantly, but I still wasn’t getting the Conversions I was
working for.
So, while my
Traffic had increased a bit, my Engagement rankings were still low. Hence, that
told me that my sites were still being perceived as a “blur” for people to just
“scroll & go” without taking any action.
“Traffic is
Key”. True! But only if they can find you first, and then stick around long
enough to actually Convert to Buyers. So, I then added a brief description of
the site containing specific trending Keywords and Phrases that trigger higher
SEO rankings. I followed suit, by rewriting my content to also include specific
Keywords and Phrases from the list I’d built. The goal being to provide
content that would fill the need that my site visitors were looking to fulfill,
providing solutions that would capture their attention for more than a 3-5
second “scroll & go”. Quality over quantity!
I hope this simple tip has helped you to be more successful with your online business. Feel free to leave us a comment if this has helped or even if you have other topics that you’d like for us to write about.
Wishing you all the very best of success!
